LEED/Green Building

Green Building is the process of designing with sustainability in mind and construction that is environmentally responsible and operationally efficient. Sustainable designs incorporate materials that are recycled or renewable in order to preserve non-renewable resources. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and is a certification for buildings by the U. S. Green Building Council. While LEED is the most popular, other environmentally friendly certifications exist as well such as Green Globes. While they all have merit, consultation with a design professional is recommended before making a selection. Rosenberger has completed buildings that have received LEED certifications of Gold, Silver and Certified, as well as Green Globes Certified.
