Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) is a delivery method where the owner employs a construction manager to provide professional construction management services. This includes overall project management, constructability reviews, scheduling and budget, quality control, project safety and more. The construction manager acts as a consultant to the owner during the design and construction phases; this takes the burden off of the owner for managing and coordinating the project. The CMAR can greatly benefit the owner by allowing them a higher level of cost control from the beginning. The construction manager may also be employed to perform construction of the project as well.
